Day 55:
I was called to serve as the Young Women's President today, and didn't want to forget the inspiration I received. As we were waiting for the Bishop to come to our home I was upstairs in my room hanging Marin's clothes from out of the dryer. I was hanging a dress that I love seeing her in, and an overwhelming feeling came over me that said 'You will be the new Young Women's President'. The Bishop knocked a few minutes later and that was the message he shared also. He had said that they were not planning on changing things until the current president moved in June, but that as he was sitting on the stand today, he happened to look to where our family was sitting and the spirit confirmed to him that I was to be the new Young Women's President, and that he needed to call me now.
I am not exactly sure why I am the specific person needed for this new role, but I do know that I have a great testimony of this Gospel, of my Savior and of our purpose in this lifetime. I know that if we apply ourselves we can accomplish excellence, and that is what I will try to share with these young women. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve.
